January analysis

Scripture: consistent study. no memory!!

Iran: some reading. Mostly modern news. Making fun of the Persian Prez and his Spinal Tappish fascination with (february) 11.

Dance: Rhythm work–specifics and counting. The combination of drumming and ballet helps a lot!!  Zills: No. Biggest difficulty–thin apartment walls and windows in my room at school.

Jazz: Beginning at Ong King with Leslea. Different: freer and more story-telling. I think our choreo was on SYTYCD

Bollywood: Nothing much yet. However, we should be learning a piece for PUJA, and Willow might have some Aussie teachers coming in this month.

Harp: Restringing!! So much breakage! And crappy, humid weather at the same time. I finally have strings and a tuning key. Once perfect, I’ll contact Amos. My delay with this is infantile, strange, and wrong. But I’ll pay him. And return the harp if he doesn’t trust me. Which would make sense and be horrible at the same time.  I have been practicing with a metronome. Flair can come later. The concentration on timing is helping with the notes, honestly. I don’t panic, and I have time (60 bpm) to think.

Costuming: I found Kaimuki Dry Goods!! Woo hoo. That’s it. I will make Sarah a sexy lingerie piece for her bday. Chain maille: the classes this quarter have been in Kaimuki rather than Kapolei. I’m waiting for next quarter to save on gas.

Theater, sewing, martial arts: nothing

For February: watch stage combat scenes/movies, ask Naomi for help

Teaching: I am more organized for sure. Creativity: I feel not so much. Except I’m giving various research projects that I think help. IDK.

Relationships January: Texted a Christian guy for  a bit. He asked me out, said he’d call to give details, didn’t. Still texted until the day we were supposed to meet. Texted two days later to say he had been sick. I ignored him. I feel bad. Maybe his cold paralyzed his fingers…

Went out with a puddle pirate twice. Great steak. His first words–“I don’t know if I want to go through with this. I looked at your Facebook. You’re too smart.” He, it turns out, is a naturally intelligent person with some decent character qualities; furthermore, he is (guess it!) 22. Thus it ended.

Finances: steady

Drumming: ka’s are growing. I’m using the metronome constantly. Maksoum variations are also coming.

Design: blagth

Body: much better on the eating habits! Only towards the end of a pay period. I currently have no food. I don’t want to buy until Friday. Do I have the money? Yes. But I want to wait!!

Family: some encouraging. Still cry too much.

Writing: better. I’m getting my dance reviews in better. Still not as timely and quickly as I should. The turn from dance to writing is discombobulating. Now I want to read and write ONLY. Balance, grasshopper.

Journalism: Will wait on the camera until all is settled with the harp.
